Inductive Bible Study Method: An LBI Tradition

The Inductive Study Method is an investigative approach to the Bible. In this approach, individuals spend time observing Scripture to know what the Bible says and using sound principles of interpretation to understand what it means. Pr. David Patterson, Pastor of Pioneer Lutheran Church in White, South Dakota, will guide participants in acquiring the skills to approach the Bible itself as the primary source of study to learn about God and what the Bible teaches.

Introduction to the Apostle Paul

Paul is one of the most significant New Testament witnesses to the early church and to early proclamations of Jesus. He is also one of the most controversial. Lutheran Church History: Our past, our present, and our future.

Most Lutherans think of Lutheran history as consisting of the reformation and the last 20 years with nothing in between. In this course, Dr. Mark Granquist will introduce participants to the real history of the Lutheran Church and will explore questions for its future. Topics will include: Luther and the beginning of Protestantism, The Establishment of Lutheranism in Europe, Orthodoxy, Piety, and the Enlightenment, Lutheranism takes root in America, Missions and the rise of world Lutheranism, and Lutheranism today and tomorrow.
